We’ve launched!

Welcome to the brand new Preview Studio website!

Kirstie and I have been working on Preview Studio for many months now, and we are very proud to finally be able to launch our new website.

About us

Kirstie and I met when we both worked at the same architectural practice, and bonded during the late evening work sessions that every architect has probably experienced when deadlines loom. During our time there we worked on the layouts of literally hundreds of different homes of all shapes and sizes.  For both of us, laying out a home is one of the most pleasurable tasks in residential development - it engages the imagination but also has a puzzle-solving aspect to it as well: How can I best organise this space given these constraints to maximise the useful space and minimise the waste?

We both ended up leaving that company, though at different times, but we stayed in touch as friends.  Kirstie pitched me on the idea that would become Preview Studio over drinks at a board game café, but at the time my mind was elsewhere. A few months later I messaged her "Remember that idea you had? I think we should do it".  We had long discussions about what we should call it, what services we should offer, and how we could provide some new ideas that hadn't been seen elsewhere in the business of home renovation.

Our blog

We're going to use this blog to post about the stuff you need to know when you're thinking about home renovation - planning rules, building regulations, energy efficiency requirements - and the stuff that's fun to think about - layout tips, interior trends, and materials.

We've got a lot of ideas for blog posts to start out with, but we'd love to hear your feedback on what you'd like to see us write about. Are there some burning questions you've always wanted to know the answers to? Let us know at hello@previewstudio.co.uk.

In the meantime check out our new website, and if you're ready to see your home transformed then why not get started
